Where are my DotA skills?

Got defeated by an AI (an artificial intelligence computer-based player) in a DotA match last night was seriously not a joke for an experienced gamer. Although, I have abandoned DotA for a few months and had a lost to an AI yesterday, this was not an acceptable excuse.

For those who still doesn't have any idea of what is DotA, DotA stands for Defense of the Ancients, is a mod for the real-time strategy video game Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. This epic game has the highest 'hating' rate by most of the girls. I have said so merely because of the reason that their boyfriend cares DotA more than them. This is indeed a true story for some of the DotA addicts (not me).

Back to the main story,

Last night, there were some problems with the internet connection. It kept on disconnected and when it is connected, the speed was not very good for online gaming and caused 'lagged' in game. Arise of such problems may be due to the excessive download of Harry Potter movies by one of my housemate that night. Because of that reason, I chose to play DotA and have a match against an AI as I could not play against another player (a real person) due to the slow internet connection.

Yesterday was the first time I clicked the DotA icon in my desktop since I last played it after I came to London. I was excited as I am back to my old days, playing DotA and be able to show my skills or talent to my housemate. However, I lost the match to an AI and it was a shame.

Where are my DotA skills?

Does this lost can be interpreted as a sign or indication of the end of my DotA journey after playing the game for about 7-8 years?

.....

Maybe I should begin practising DotA again. So that, such embarrassing moment could be avoided. Like a wise man once said;

Practice makes perfect.

Let the game begin!

Cooking?

When you are hungry, you will search the entire fridge, looking for a food to eat. For a person who doesn't know how to cook, s/he may ask someone else to cook for him. But, if there is none, you might need to go to the restaurant to eat. Soon, you got bored eating the same type of food again and again. Besides that, you also found it very costly to eat outside food and some of the food were unhealthy if it were to consume regularly. Since then, you realised that you should learn how to cook!

This situation occurred to me during my stay in London. It was relatively difficult to find Halal food here, especially in the area with minority Muslim people. At first, I just kept on buying fast food such as pizza and fried chicken as it were quite affordable, taste delicious and most importantly, Halal. But then, I have noticed that, the food served was sometimes a little bit too oily and I have considerably grow some fat in my tummy which make it harder for me to achieve my dream of having a nice sexy body. From that point onwards, I have tried to reduce my consumption on fast food and began to learn how to cook a proper  healthy meal.

Chef Bukh~
In London, I have learnt some of the techniques and skills to cook and even developed some cooking styles. Credits to my housemates and friends, I can now cook alone without any help from others and until today, I have managed to cook several famous known meals such as Ayam Masak Merah, Caramel, Egg Banjo with cheese, Mixed of Veggies and Eggs and some others delicious meals.

Cooking was very fun! It was a bit tiring for a newbie as it consumed a lot of time for you to prepare the ingredients and then cook it. For the first time, alone, it took me about an hour plus to cook a four-person meals in the small kitchen in my flat. Although, one of the meal was almost a failure due to the potatoes which were not fully cooked, I was proud that I can cook quite well for a newbie and the most important part was that the meals were edible to a living human being.

Such experience encouraged me to practice my cooking skills by cooking more and more meals and hopefully one day, when I am back in Malaysia, I could simply cook a nice delicious meals for my beloved family and perhaps, for my friends too. I am particularly looking forward to learn other cooking techniques and skills as to enhance the taste of my cuisine. For those who still don't know how to cook, please spare some of your time to learn how to cook as it may soon be very beneficial and rewarding.

I workout!

As promised in the last post, today I am going to tell you guys more about myself. I workout! Yeah! I went to the gym to have a nice strong and sexy body. The end results still yet to come.

How and why I started to workout? I started to workout since I was in Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar (KTJ), when my roommate, a "Cina" guy, with his nice toned body and all of his sweaty tools, working out alone in our room has influenced me to follow such path of life. (Not to be racist or what, I just want to include some sense of humour and no offends yeah~).

His sexy body and such motivation to lift all the heavy weights has influenced and even dragged me to this workout exercise and I am all set to go to become a person with a sexy body like that. He became my personal trainer and we followed several videos in the YouTube. I still remembered the first video we followed which was "My 16 Weeks to Six Packs Abs challenge". Click here! Unfortunately, we only did the first 14 weeks and could not finished another 2 weeks as recommended in the video. Not because it was too hard or strict but, it is merely because we have big and significant examinations to attend for that May/June 2010, which is far more important than to get a nice sexy body.
My trainer~
These workout activities were quite heavy and tiring but, what I found from accomplishing these kind of activities were far outweigh the problems. I found workout very interesting in a way that it helps to develop a strong healthy body and mind and at the same time it help us to possess some of the good qualities such as discipline. For example, the discipline to follow the strict diet rules and to follow the intense yet heavy workout activities were one of the daily activities gone through by an ordinary bodybuilder. These qualities are very useful to our daily life.

I was very thankful to God that I have met this type of person who have bring a significant change to my entire life, which was the changes of me from a skinny and weak type of person to a more buff and strong person. Believe me, I was so skinny that even the wind in London can blow me off back to Malaysia. Oppps, too much exaggeration.

Here, in London, I met some other buff guys from Malaysia who helped me continue working out in this non-sweating country. It was way too cold outside and I prefer staying in the house, playing online game under a warm cozy duvet, rather than playing sports outside. This cold weather somehow demotivate me. For your information, friend or partner play an important role during a working out session. They may assist you when you ran out of energy or you just cant lift the heavy weights alone! They even motivate you when you are lazy to follow the recommended routine and diet. They are more or less the same as your personal trainer. Yes! Working out also developed a strong friendship relationship.

In London, these friends of mine have managed to influence me to take some of the supplement which help me to gain some weight and energy. They said, I should gain some weight because a bigger body would have more potential to develop bigger muscles and for a skinny type of person like me, it is indeed true. I was told the same thing back then in KTJ, however the price of such supplement for me at that time was a little bit too expensive. I was on benefit by the price of the supplement here, in London, although it was quite expensive yet affordable as compare to the price of the supplement in Malaysia. Hopefully, the end results are much more promising than the price of the supplement I bought today. The supplement which arrived in my door step today was the reason of me writing and posting this blog.

I think that's all for now. Thank you to everyone who helped me to achieve my goal of having a nice sexy body. Highly appreciated it. Hopefully, one day, I will get the body shape I have dreamed about. One day~

Sexy body, here I come!

Newbie~

As stated in the title post above, Newbie means an inexperienced newcomer who doesn't have enough knowledge of what he will be facing in the future and he is looking forward to learn new things and improve himself. Newbie suits me as I am new to this blog thing.

You guys must be wondering why all of sudden, I'm creating and posting a blog? This may be due to the influence of  my beloved friends who introduced me to blog. I found blog very interesting in such way that people used it to express their feelings whilst improving their writing skills. Thus, I was determined to create my own blog to express some of my 'interesting' feelings and at the same time to improve my writing skills.

Honestly, I have started to like blog during my high school but, due to lack of confidence to write and thinking that blog will become bored later on, had stopped me from creating a blog. With the determination that I have now, I will continue on writing and posting blogs and hopefully, I will never get bored with it. InsyaAllah.

Alright, enough with the short introduction! I am going to write something about my self in the next post of mine. So, do wait for it, because they are a lot more coming! Do comment and correct my English as the aim to improve my writing skills was the main objective of creating this blog.

Challenge accepted!
